Food & Wine Guide - Seafoods
When pairing wine with seafood, the richness and color of the fish will often determine the best pairing. White wines are the general rule, but in some cases a light-bodied red or rosé is the perfect accompaniment. Salmon and Oregon Pinot Noir can be a match made in heaven!

There are so many incredible white wines and delicious seafoods to pair together, once you start delving in and trying different pairings, you'll start feeling like the world's your oyster. Shellfish, especially oysters or clams, are ideal with a refreshing, minerally white wine like Sancerre. Scallops and white Burgundy are a delightful pairing, and it doesn't stop there. Champagne with steamed scallops, Chardonnay with those just off the grill and Sauvignon Blanc with simple baked scallops are all ethereal pairings. Don't forget to pour a dash of whatever white wine you choose into your cooking! The flavors in the wine will add complexity, complementing and enhancing your seafood recipes.
